I also don’t understand the need for Kabuto to win here. Everyone acknowledges that if he DID win, it’s attributed to the fact that he prepared for a battle with Sasuke possibly a year or more prior to the actual fight, right? It’s like how Naruto’s feat against Pein is diminished because he went into the battle knowing what most of the Realms were capable of, so he already had a winning strategy planned out. Or if Sasuke fought Naruto and already had a “Kyuubi chakra doesn’t work anymore” poison.

I’d rather be impressed by someone’s battle prowess than their resourcefulness prior to a fight. That’s just me though.

if im basing it on law’s calculating attitude…i bet he goes for kaidou or big mam…(im not saying) they are prolly the weaker of the 4, yeah, yonkou…im just saying if you rank each yonkou by power. (again, not saying they are weak)
if law proposes blackbeard then he will sail with luffy maybe for a long time.

i think law proposes they hunt down shanks though…as it appears shanks is the strongest of all (?) and luffy will go berserk on him hahahaha.
umm, sorry for my early theory….because i believe law is a subordinate of doflamingo…his intention to take down a yonkou (shanks) is an order from doflamingo perhaps?

Should I expect Yuki being some sorta heir to some bastards that killed a lot of Quincies 200 years ago? but yeah I do like Yuki being a little bit important. I do not recognize that guy Yuki is talking to. A new character or someone will refresh my memory? He looks like Szyael.

I think it was worth adding the explanation about Quincy and Shinigami.
Some members were counting on Hell as a possible destination in this thread. The Blonde Aizen totally kicked that out of the story with this explanation. There were also discussions about what happened 1000 years ago and 200 years ago. This explanation came to clear some doubts.
I liked. But it’s a transitional chapter. Nothing extraordinary.

Almost everything about this chapter felt off balance, as though there were the makings of an exceptional chapter hidden with the parts of the whole. Where last week the dialogue and art were top notch (enough to win the grudging respect of many not invested in Kabuto as a villain), here the results were mixed. The fight scenes were generally well drawn, but everything else looked sub-standard. Itachi and Kabuto’s ideas of identity and imitation are fertile grounds for discussion, but neither explored those notions in the depth or with the eloquence they deserved.

To make up for his borrowed ambition, Kabuto goes overboard in everything he does. Orochimaru was going to steal genetic abilities, focusing on individual skills at a time, you say? Well then, Kabuto will find a way to steal them all. I also liked how Kabuto used his abilities intelligently, forcing his opponents into vulnerable positions. He could have just spammed techniques all chapter, but the way in which he applied them shows more strategy than is sometimes employed by the villains in this series. Tobi could learn a thing or too here considering he wasted the potential of the jinchuriki and their individual gifts in his fight (but for practical reasons related to the plot and allowing the hero to reach a new level of power).

It is strange for a shicibukai like Law would wandering around by himself without his crew mates. I hope we will see the reason why did he come to the Punk Hazard sooner. I wonder who the “Joker” is. I wonder if Franky’s body needs to fire the pacifista beam for Caesar Clown’s research on it. Nami said, she wouldn’t fire it even if it would risk her own life, didn’t she?
It would be hilarious if CC insists while Nami refuses and then accidentally destroyed his lab in rage without the beam. nami in franky’s body i mean. she’ll have to know how to make use of franky’s body unless law puts them all back together in their normal states.

Based on this arc, I think the next islands in the new world won’t be like in grand line anymore (Luffy vs. Main Antagonist). I’m expecting for a 10 way battle in an island or Luffy fighting 10 bosses on his own (hahaha maybe it’ll happen we’ll never know^^), more mysteries and strong new characters.

(as the Quincy himself adfirms) states that the Letzt Stil is weaker than the Vollstanding, and that it died over 200 years before, although Souken Ishida refused the new form developed through years of studies. The shinigami, paring his opponent’s blows, is relieved that the techniques are different, because it implies Uryu won’t transform into something like that, which could make Ichigo killing his friend by mistake. After blaming on Kirge for having a too loose grip, the shinigami shoots a Getsuga Tenshou, which however fails.

Kirge,either absorbing its Reishi or just having an ubelievably resistant body, states he has no weak points. Boasting for his eerie appearance, Kirge starts gathering the reishi from the outside. Orihime is astonished watching her Santen being peeled off, but Chad points out that everything made of reishi is gathering around the Quincy. Thus Orihime understands why she didn’t sense reiatsu when Kirge transformed: Quincies absorb reishi and don’t emit it.

So it looks like flashbacks are finally over as I think most of people are tired of seeing them, even though it was nesesary to have them to explain Kabuto’s character, but I just didn’t really feel touched by these flashbacks (in the same One Piece they are way better).
Hope Kabuto won’t go down that easy and will show us some interesting fight.

Also Oro’s white snake goes out from Kabuto… Oro comes back? Or is it some trick from Kabuto?

I’ll admit that law joining forces with luffy is now quite likely…but i doubt he goes on an all out help, something seems to be stopping him from taking on crown. thats why i think the joker dude will appear in this arc and is one bad motherfucker. and more villains would appear in this arc.
because luffy, smoker and law…along with rest of strawhats are just too much for just clown alone.

Here’s what I’m thinking happend to brook zoro and sanji:

Kinemon sees the cool brothers approaching a mile away and also the fact that he’s being followed by brook sanji and zoro. Kinemon then somehow finds some fodder enemies and disguises them as brook zoro and sanji (I have a feeling he can Do more with his ability than just put clothes on people). Cool brothers take down fakes while real ones get away.

It just seems that Kubo wants to show that he is good in foreign languages, but it looks that he is actuallot bad in them.
Hope Toten Engel would be about Kirge. He is too arrogant and selfconfident. Hope he will go down. For his arrogance he deserved to be offpanelled by Ichi, but it won’t be bad to see him getting bitchslapped by Allon.
Hope we’ll get some more revelations from Kirge about Van den Reich and Quincies abilities.

It’s either Todesengel/Engel des Todes[Angel of Death] or Toter Engel[Dead Angel]. Oh Kubo, you can’t do anything right, stop raping my language!
Seems like their transformation is still worth a bit, because a bloody Kirge is a good one.

I feel for the many posters who dislike the chapter. It must be annoying to beat off to the Uchiha and then get thrown into backstory of a non-Uchiha so close to climax. I do find something funny though. The majority of posters are convinced Kabuto will lose even though the Uchihas have been on the defense the majority of the fight. I ask why do you think it’s a guarantee that Kabuto will lose? I’ll ask and many of the posters will claim it has nothing to do with Uchiha fandom.

I said before that Kabuto will go on because he made a challenge to Naruto and he mirrors Naruto with his own Sage Mode. Furthermore he has shown that he has a hand in the plan that Edo Madara has in mind. Many have said that doesn’t prove he’ll survive. So, I’ll ask: What do you posters have to justify Sasuke getting out of this fight alive? Let’s ignore the fact that you’ll cry and moan if Sasuke is captured/dies. Kishi doesn’t necessarily let the popularity of the characters dictate how the story progresses (if he did, he probably wouldn’t have killed off Jiraiya).
